Talking from the Mountains to the Marshes:
Creating a Community Strategic Plan for Coonamble Shire -
What is it?
What is a Community Strategic Plan?
A Community Strategic Plan is a process and a final document that details the community’s priorities, plans and vision for the Shire.
It will:
- capture your insights, experience, vision, priorities, challenges and hopes for the future of Coonamble Shire.
- bring together social, environmental and economic planning into one overarching Community Strategic Plan.
It will be:
- used by the Council to guide decision making for the next 10 years, and by our community as a document that captures and reflects our vision and aspirations.
- everyone’s responsibility to work together to deliver the Plan – you, the community, community organisations, Council and other government agencies.
Progress so far:
The consultation process is complete! The next step will involve development of the Community Strategic Plan and the council delivery plan, which are due to be finalized by June 2012.
