Coonamble Shire Council is focused on delivering high quality services and a providing a healthy natural environment for its vibrant, connected, and respectful community.

This key position reports directly to the General Manager and has responsibility for a multi-disciplinary team focused on providing effective and efficient delivery of Environmental, Development, Regulated Services, strategic planning and Community Services.

The role provides direction and support by developing and monitoring the strategic plans for Coonamble Shire to ensure positive progression and development into the future. It will provide oversight and assistance with planning, health, building and environmental issues and facilitate the acquisition of social capital, connections between people, groups and places and increase the capacity of the community to be engaged in sustainable social and cultural practices within Coonamble Shire.

The successful applicant will bring well developed leadership skills, enthusiasm and drive aligned with Council’s Vision and relevant experience in the key functions of the role.

The position title of either Executive Manager or Executive Leader, and level of seniority will be negotiated with the successful applicant, dependant on qualifications and previous management experience.
