The State Government has made it mandatory for the following types of development applications, building applications and certificates to Coonamble Shire Council to be submitted through the NSW Planning Portal:
- Construction certificates.
- Complying development certificates.
- Building information certificates.
- Subdivision certificates.
- BASIX certificates.
- Occupation certificates.
- Development Applications.
- Applications to Modify Consents (s4.55 applications).
- Review of Determination (s8.2 applications).
By law, using the NSW Planning Portal will be the only legal way to make an application to Council. Any application, other than through the Planning Portal, is not able to be accepted.
Council encourages you to use the Portal for a more streamlined and efficient experience.
The NSW Planning Portal makes submitting applications to Council simple, with the convenience of its information and facilities being available to you online, anywhere and at any time.

Please note that Coonamble Shire Council currently does not accept Section 68 Local Approvals or Planning Certificates 10.7 (2) and (5) through the Planning Portal. As an initial step, please download and submit a Property Information Inquiry Form (available as a PDF and as a Word document):
